A lot of companies like to get incorporated at the beginning of the year, as closest to January 1 as possible. If you’re one of these companies, your Annual Statement of Information is already due or will be due soon. For some time, the California Secretary of State has allowed corporations to file it’s Annual Statement of Information online through it’s E-File system. Click on this link and go to “E-File”.
You can pay the filing fee with your credit card and get a receipt right away. If I file by mail, my usual practice is to also submit a copy so I can get a stamped copy in return for complete records.
